Ouchi Optical Illusion

The Ouchi illusion, illustrated below, is an illusion named after its inventor, Japanese artist Hajime Ouchi. Notice how the circular disk seems to float above the checkered background as your eyes scan the image. This effect can be heightened by grabbing the scroll bar and sliding it up and down while viewing the image.
