Balanced Colour in Cow illusion

Gray Diamonds Illusion
So, the diamonds on the bottom are much lighter than the diamonds on top, right? Wrong! Actually -- and you probabbly have guessed this optical illusion by now -- all the diamonds in the picture are eactly the same. It's our eyes playing tricks on us! Color Changing Illusion
As we see the image is in full colour, but apparently if you stare at the center of it for a few seconds, it turns into shades of gray. I had trouble getting this effect at start but at the end I managed to see it! Does it work for you as well? only this time it has something to do with color adapting. Enjoy...
